Our school canteen operates a cashless catering system. All payments for school meals should be made via ParentPay.
Making a payment is straightforward and ParentPay holds an electronic record of your payments to view at a later date; no card details are stored in any part of the system. Once you have activated your account you can make online payments straight away.

If your child is under 19 and in full-time education, you may be able to get free school meals for them. The quickest and easiest way to apply for school meals is to apply online, go to the KCC website and search ‘free school meals’.
The free school amount is £3.10 per day which is the cost of the main meal and pudding. Your child doesn’t have to have the main meal, they can use the £3.10 against whatever food they would like. If your child spends more than £3.10 the difference will be charged against their cash balance, which you will need to top up through ParentPay. Your child’s account will automatically be credited with £3.10 every day. If they do not use the full £3.10 everyday it will be lost as it does not roll over to the next day.
With the cashless catering system, students who receive free school meals are completely anonymous and no other students will know. A student who receives free school meals scans their thumbprint or uses their 4-digit pin like every other student.
If you have any questions about free school meals please contact the school finance office.
