Celebrating Success
Written by Mrs Bennett

The Intermediate Biology Olympiad challenges students with questions based on topics typically covered at GCSE and during the first year of A-levels. It also introduces additional concepts, encouraging participants to apply their problem-solving skills and deepen their understanding of core principles.

This competition not only looks impressive on UCAS applications but also provides excellent preparation for the Year 13 British Biology Olympiad.

Congratulations to all Year 12 students who demonstrated ambition and confidence by participating. Special commendations go to Rebecca for achieving a Gold award, Kiera for securing Silver, and Madeleine and Jessica for earning Bronze awards!

Out of the more than 15,000 students participating nationally, the average distribution of awards was as follows: Gold: 5%, Silver: 10%, Bronze: 15%, Highly Commended: 15%, and Commended: 15%.
