Congratulations to Edie W in Year 13 for taking part in the regional heats of the Articulation Prize at the Quarterhouse, Folkestone. Articulation is one of the National Gallery's key learning programmes for young people, nationwide. It engages students, aged between 14 and 23, with art and develops confidence and oracy skills, including public speaking, independent research skills, presentation skills, critical thinking, visual analysis and interview skills.

Students are invited to each deliver a 10-minute presentation to an audience about a work of art, architecture or an artefact of their choice. Adjudicators then assess each presentation as a whole, looking at content, structure, delivery and the speaker’s original approach and unique potential.

Feedback from the adjudicators praised Edie's presentation:

"Such a well-researched talk, you included so much detail about the Bosch painting, and it was clear you must have spent a long time with it. Your delivery was very clear and well paced, making it easy to follow all of your points"
